Interior Shutters
At Premier Shutters and Shades we only use the North American basswood. Our lumber is graded to a kiln dried and select and better grade insuring the moisture content remains as low as possible. This insures the wood will carry enough moisture not to split or crack and low enough to prevent it from warping or twisting.
In processing our materials, we use state of the art machinery that cuts and bores to the fraction of an inch. This allows us to build shutter panels with smooth operation and tight closures to insure the maximum insulating value possible. When assembling our shutters we use 2 ¾ x ½ wooden dowels and fast drying wood glue to create the strongest bond possible.
- Every order is custom built with select and better kiln dried basswood lumber.
- Licensed, bonded & insured through the Registrar of Contractors (ROC#223422)
- Tight louver adjustments on all panels with double doweling in all joints.
- Side stiles of 1 1/6" x 2" with 1 1/6" thick top and bottom rails.
- Hinge choices of Brushed Nickel, Antique Brass, Polished Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze or White are available.
- Magnets are used to ensure a strong hold and easy detachment for smooth operation.
- Elliptical louvers in 2 ½", 3 ½" & 4 ½" are used to maximize view and louver closure.
- Available finishes of textured (sandblast) and smooth in paint and smooth stained shutters in an array of colors.
- Framing styles available in face mount, semi-insert and full insert with square or bullnose detail.
We offer a written limited lifetime warranty against all manufacturing defects.
